2011 STAFF POSITIONS

The Board has appointed Stuart Woodhouse as Club Head Coach and Grade Coordinator.  Stuart will be responsible for the performance of all teams within the club and improving our position on the Club Championship table. The coach of each individual team will be responsible for the performance of that team.  All other coaching positions will be advertised and we encourage all current coaches to apply. AUSTRALIAN SCHOOLS 2010
 

Congratulations to Colts Lock Steve Cummins on his selection in the Australian Schools team following the Australian Schools Championships held in Brisbane last week. Steve captained NSW CHS last year and played for Australia A Schools before captaining the West Harbour Academy team in Samoa. This year Steve captained the Hills Sports High team to 3rd place in the Sanix World Youth Tournament in Japan and was selected for NSW Schools 1sts team despite being sidelined for 7 weeks with inury. Steve makes his return to Club Rugby this week and is looking forward to taking on Samoa (8th September) and Fiji (11th September) in Sydney. A 26 man Australian Schools Squad will then be selected to tour Samoa and New Zealand playing in a Test match in each country as well as a series of provincial matches.  Congratulations Steve and best wishes for a successful representative season.

 
 

TRAINING 2010 SEASON

Club Training for all Grade and Colts sides commenced on Tuesday 5th January at St Lukes Park (Stanley Street, Concord) - players should assemble at 6.15pm. Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6.30pm throughout the season. New players are welcome.

The West Harbour Gym remains open for all players during the off season - please note that the gym will be closed for general use on Monday nights from 5.30-8.00pm as the area is being used for 1st Grade/Senior Academy Training. Clint Hill is the Club's new strength and conditioning coach - Clint will be available at the gym on Wednesday nights from 6.30-8.30pm to assist all players in the club with programs, dietary requirements and advice. New weights programs are available at the gym. You are reminded that the gym is for use by West Harbour/Wests Juniors players - please bring & use a towel on equipment.
