Encouraging females athletes to pursue careers as coaches is not just a matter of diversity for the sake of representation. It's a strategic imperative that enhances the fabric of sports culture, fosters inclusivity, and maximises talent development.
This weeks try of the week goes to Vuate Karawalevu for an outstanding finish in first grade.
Off the back of a strong scrum James Faiva with a beautiful cut out ball to Vuate Karawalevu who gets on the outside and takes care of business with an excellent finish in the corner.
In another positive step to evolving our community-focused talent pathways, WH has entered into a strategic partnership with NSW Waratahs and Sydney Catholic Schools. The partnership will see WH host, and provide talent development expertise via NSW Waratahs facilitated holiday camps for talented Sydney Catholic Schools students. The initiative aims to bolster NSW rugby’s grassroots development programs and provide access to elite coaching and talent pathways for Sydney Catholic Schools students via WH community club network and evolving Academy programs.
Today West Harbour hosted the first camp and it was a great day of developing skills for some very talented kids. Skills learnt on field were reinforced with some reflection time and journaling in the gym. It was a really positive day enjoyed by both the students and the coaches. We can’t wait for the next one…
